What is Reiki?
Reiki energy is an unseen energy that flows through all things, living and non-living. It is directly connected to the quality of being(ness). This principle has been part of the wisdom of many cultures since ancient times. Recent scientific experiments, as well as many medical doctors have verified the existence of this "life force energy". Doctors are considering the role it plays in the functioning of the immune system and the healing process.
Applying Reiki energy creates a feeling that reduces stress, a feeling of relaxation and well-being, for the client. The "life force energy", which the client taps into, is an energy that is unlimited and can improve health and enhance the way a person is living their life.
A Reiki Master invokes Reiki into the student; through attunements this is how Reiki has been passed on through the generations. Anyone can receive attunements. It has nothing to do with intellectual capacity or spiritual development therefore, it is available to everyone. It's been successfully taught to thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds.

What does a treatment feel like?
A treatment feels like a continuous wave of energy. The energy creates a feeling of radiance that flows through you and surrounds you. Reiki treats the whole person, the body, emotions, mind and spirit. A person may describe having feelings of deep relaxation and feelings of peace, security, well-being and clarity. People have reported seeing miraculous changes as a result of Reiki treatments. Reiki is a simple, natural, and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. Reiki is a Spiritually Guided Life Force Energy
A Reiki practitioner through the use of ancient symbols taps into the God-consciousness called Rei. Rei then guides the life force energy called Ki. That is why we call it Reiki. Reiki can travel into what needs to be removed, changed or transformed. Simply put, it is spiritually guided life force energy.
Is Reiki a Religion?
No. Reiki is an art form, it is a way of expressing art spiritually, by caring about the well being of another person. We can all relate to a time when cuddling up with someone or having a person rub our head when we were sick, how good that felt. That's the type of feeling a person receives from Reiki energy. Reiki is spiritual in nature, rather then being a religion. It has no dogma, and there is nothing you must believe in order to learn and use Reiki. Reiki is not dependent on belief at all and will work whether you believe in it or not. Reiki comes from what maybe called by many God, Goddess or a God Force, many people find that using Reiki puts them more in touch with the person's spiritual side rather than seeing life through the logical mind. Reiki promotes harmony, Dr. Mikao Usui, the founder of the Reiki system of natural healing, recommended that one practice certain simple ethical ideals to promote peace and harmony, which are nearly universal across all cultures.
